LLCC’s 15th annual Multicultural Fest will take place Wednesday, Oct. 3, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. outside A. Lincoln Commons on the Springfield campus. The event, sponsored by LLCC Student Life, showcases various cultures with ethnic food, entertainment and cultural exhibits.
Local restaurants will be offering free samples of ethnic food. Restaurants serving from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. include Clay’s Popeye’s Bar-B-Q, Flavor of India, Hunan Chinese Restaurant, Boccardi’s Italian Imports, AZ-T-CA Mexican Grill and Nickey’s Place.
Entertainment includes dance performances by LLCC Dance Club: Express Your Seoul and LotusFire Bellydancers as well as DJ Yinka who will cover music from various regions of the world such as Latin America, Asia and Africa.
Those providing cultural exhibits are Central Counties Health Centers, Habitat for Humanity of Sangamon County, International Student Association, Islamic Society of Greater Springfield, Sister Cities Association, Sol Peru, Springfield Commission on International Visitors and World Affairs Council of Central Illinois. LLCC clubs and programs participating include the Logger Activities Board, Agriculture Club/Collegiate Farm Bureau, Christian Student Fellowship Club and Adult Education’s English as a Second Language program.
In addition to the festivities taking place on the Springfield campus, LLCC Outreach Centers will also host multicultural events in October.

- LLCC-Taylorville, 800 S. Spresser – Thursday, Oct. 11, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
- LLCC-Litchfield, 1 Lincoln Land Dr. – Monday, Oct. 15, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
