The second year LLCC Radiography students attended the 83rd Annual Illinois State Society of Radiologic Technologists Conference in Peoria last week. The conference provides a great deal of education, networking and friendly competition for the students!

As a requirement of attending the conference, each student submits an electronic poster and/or research paper on a topic of choice. Of the 28 electronic posters submitted, Morgan Bucher was awarded second place with her poster on Agenesis of Corpus Callosum and Kelly Adamski was awarded an honorable mention with her poster on Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva (FOP). Four of the students competed in the Scholar Bowl with 11 other teams and made it to the final round with a fourth place finish! The students on the Scholar Bowl team were Lauren Burns, Lauren Cachera, Margie Christian and Katie Holliday.

The students who also represented our program at the conference were Carly Abbott, Bailey Evans, Kelly Hillyer and Darby White. All are members of the LLCC Student Radiographers Association.
