The PRM staff would like to thank everyone who assisted in any way with the nearly 365 7th graders who visited campus on Tuesday, May 3 and Thursday, May 5.
During the special visit, participating staff and faculty wowed the students with demonstrations highlighting classes and programs at LLCC. They talked to the students about how to “Find their path and launch their Future” and how to make wise decisions when choosing a career.
After a brief welcome to Lincoln Land Community College, the students toured the Workforce Careers Center, emergency services areas, surgical technology area, the theatre and a computer area.
Faculty and staff providing information to students included Nick Ferreira, Janice Lovekamp, Nancy Sweet, Joe Hoenes, Julie Rourke, Dave Green, Carmen Allen, Dave Pietrzak, Curt Robinson, Brian Early, Mark Hardiman, Sean Keeley, Tom Spears, and Darla Cochran.
As students heard from faculty and staff about various careers and programs, they enjoyed slushies provided by renewable energies and the HVAC programs. They also experienced a presentation about coding with Carmen Allen, went outside to see the semi-trucks and got some Kodak moments the automotive area.
