Monday, Nov. 17: Native Pride Dancers will perform in the A. Lincoln Commons from noon-1:30 p.m. This is a high-energy show featuring an innovative blend of modern and traditional Native American dance styles. Performers will wear vivid assortments of brightly-colored ribbons, feathers and beads all which honor our nation’s’ elders. This event is sponsored by the Logger Activities Board.
Wednesday, Nov. 19: A special multimedia presentation, “The Reunited States of America,” will take place from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Trutter Center. This dramatic presentation by Wes Rediger, Ed.D., traces America’s struggle for liberty and equality through the Revolution, Civil War and the Civil Rights Movement. The performance includes inspiring stories of real people with moving portions of America’s founding documents and great speeches, plus 100 powerful original photographs. The presentation is sponsored by the Logger Activities Board.
Thursday, Nov. 20: Sexual assault presentation is being held from noon-1 p.m. in the R. H. Stephens Room, Menard Hall. Margaret Oltman from the Prairie Center Against Sexual Assault will address: what sexual assault/sexual harassment is, what to do if it happens and how we stop it. This event is sponsored by the Logger Activities Board.
