LLCC Public Relations and Marketing’s Ready TV commercial recently received a bronze Telly Award for “Local TV General – Schools/Colleges/Universities.” The Telly Awards, in their 40th year, honor video and television made for all screens and are judged by The Telly Award Judging Council, a group of leading video and television experts from some of the most prestigious companies in entertainment, publishing, advertising and emerging technology.

As a reminder, if a college department (with the exception of Athletics, Student Life and Bookstore) has funds and wishes to purchase promotional items that would contain the college logo or name, here are the steps to take. These guidelines are intended to insure consistency, quality and value of promotional items.

1. Complete a PRM KBOX work order, indicating the items you wish to purchase and the quantity. You may suggest a vendor, but it is not necessary.
2. PRM will find a vendor for the items and provide you with price information.
3. If you approve of the price, PRM will contact the vendor and provide the appropriate artwork and deadlines.
4. You (or your department assistant) will need to create a requisition on Colleague for the item(s). Once the requisition is approved, the purchasing office will then send the vendor a PO to place the order.

The Transportation and Industrial Expo on July 16 was a great success with approximately 90 visitors in attendance! Prospective students and their guests enjoyed learning about many of the hands-on training programs at LLCC with activities throughout the Workforce Careers Center. They also had the opportunity to take first steps to enroll and get questions answered about financial aid and scholarships. LLCC Public Relations and Marketing would like to thank all who assisted with this recruitment event. LLCC Public Relations and Marketing is looking for volunteers to assist at the welcome table in A. Lincoln Commons Aug. 19-22 during the first week of fall classes. Help students get a great start to the fall semester by answering their questions and providing directions! FAQs will be on the tables again along with highlighters to help mark students’ routes to their classes.
