New LLCC Podcast features Keziah Gragg

Lincoln Land Community College Podcast. Keziah GraggThe new LLCC Podcast features an interview with LLCC student Keziah Gragg. After losing her father in 2020, Keziah wasn’t sure she wanted to attend college, but she knew her father would want her to move forward. Now she’s thriving in the ag program at LLCC and describes the college as “bubbly, warm and welcoming, with so many opportunities.” Hear her story in this edition of the LLCC Podcast!

New LLCC billboards

As you’re out and about around Springfield, keep an eye out for the new LLCC billboards! Three of these are in a new campaign to promote the affordable cost of attending LLCC (www.llcc.edu/affordable). One promotes the Workforce Institute at LLCC and another promotes health care training programs.

Nominate a deserving colleague for KUDOS

Lincoln Land Community College KUDOS: Key or Unique Demonstrations of Outstanding ServiceKey or Unique Demonstrations of Outstanding Service award nominations are now open! They will be accepted through Tuesday, Nov. 29. Nominate a deserving colleague by filling out the online submission form. (Please use a Chrome or Firefox browser when completing this form.) The KUDOS awards will be announced Friday, Dec. 9.

The KUDOS awards are an informal way to recognize the special contributions — small and large — made by faculty and staff that create the positive environment that is LLCC. Brighten someone’s day. Say, “Thank you! Great job!” by nominating that person for a KUDOS award!

High school counselors visit campus last week

LLCC Public Relations and Marketing welcomed high school guidance counselors and principals to an appreciation lunch on Friday, Oct. 28. Attendees enjoyed presentations, networking, food from LLCC Hospitality and Culinary Arts and a tour of campus.

Photo shoot today and tomorrow

LLCC Public Relations and Marketing will be conducting a photo shoot on campus today and tomorrow, Oct. 27 and 28. The photos will be used on the website, social media, ads and publications. We have a schedule to visit various classrooms and activities but will also be taking some candid photos along the way.

In the community

Jeff Martin, Sierra Peterson and Kim Wilson represented LLCC at  the 4th Annual Central Illinois HBCU and State College Fair on Tuesday, Oct. 18 at Union Baptist Church in Springfield. They talked with students and shared information about college and Workforce Institute programs as well as opportunities through the Open Door Workforce Equity Initiative.
