Dr. Jennifer O’Malley, professor of biology and 2019 Pearson Master Teacher, wrote the essay, “When I Grow Up” for the “Connections” section of the Sunday, Jan. 19 State Journal-Register.

Chris McDonald, Ph.D., professor of political science was interviewed by WICS/Fox Illinois about the James S. Murray Gallery exhibit “A Year in the Life of Chris Britt.”  The exhibit features Britt’s editorial cartoons and is on display through Feb. 14.

Matthew Schownir, Ph.D., assistant professor of history has published a new article called “An Emotional Borderland: Grosse Ile in Irish Diasporic Memory.” The article is in the fall 2019 issue of the peer-reviewed journal Environment, Space, Place by Minnesota University Press.

Lynn Whalen, executive director, PRM, wrote the “President’s View” columns “Crisis communication – are you ready?” and “Magical – Memorable – Marketing” for the fall 2019 and winter 2020 editions of Counsel magazine published by the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations.
