Position Vacancies Announced

New FREE, service from your Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Your EAP has a Registered Dietitian (RD) and Health Fitness Specialist (HFS) on staff to answer your nutrition and exercise questions. Employees, spouses, and dependent children are eligible for annual, one-time telephonic nutrition and exercise consultations.
Consultation topics may include, but are not limited to, weight reduction, healthy eating on a budget, vegetarian meal planning, muscle strength and aerobic activity, and family exercise. The recommendation will be personalized based on your individual situation. A written copy of the recommendation will be sent to your preferred address.
Like all EAP services, nutrition and exercise consultations are confidential and free of charge. Call the EAP at 1.888.817.8989 to request a telephonic nutrition or exercise consultation…or both!
LTD and life insurance informational meeting today at 2 p.m.
An informational meeting regarding long-term disability and life insurance coverage is being held today at 2 p.m. in the Robert H. Stephens Room. A representative from Northwest Comprehensive, the College’s insurance consultant, will do a brief presentation and answer any questions you may have. Long-term disability and life insurance open enrollment ends Friday, Nov. 22. All benefit-eligible employees must complete and return the LTD enrollment form. The life insurance form will only need to be completed if you are interested in adding to your existing coverage. All forms were distributed via interoffice mail. Please contact our office if you do not have the appropriate forms.

Our condolences to Mary Carry
We extend our condolences to Mary Carry, human resources assistant, whose mother, Erma Elliott, passed away Saturday in Flint, Mich. A memorial service is being held at 11 a.m. today, Oct. 29 at the MacAlpine Funeral Home, 302 N. Hanselman St., Bad Axe, Mich. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Life Insurance and Long Term Disability Insurance Open Enrollment Begins
The College’s annual open enrollment period for the Life Insurance and the Long Term Disability Insurance programs has begun. Open enrollment ends November 22, 2013. Enrollment a memo with forms have been put in your office mailboxes. Please review both insurance forms. The LTD form must be returned with an election. The life insurance form does not need to be returned if you are not electing additional coverage. Please note: The memo states that an informational meeting will be held Monday, November 12, but will actually be Tuesday, November 12. Contact Kim Elder with questions, (6)2214.
Wellness screenings, second chance!
If you were unable to participate in the recent wellness screening, you still have an opportunity to participate. You can register to do a remote screening conducted at a local LabCorp facility. Follow the instructions in the attached document (link below). The screening is free, as well as a flu shot, for employees who are on a LLCC health insurance plan. Remote screen participants will have to get the flu shot from a healthcare professional or certified provider, such as a pharmacy, and bring the receipt to the Human Resources office for reimbursement. Remote screening participants are also eligible for a $50 Visa gift card! Registration and completion of the screening must occur by Nov. 1, 2013 in order to be eligible for this wellness program.
