A SURS counselor will be on campus conducting one-on-one retirement sessions Tuesday, May 12 in the VP Conference Room. To qualify for a session, you must be, at a minimum, four years away from retirement eligibility. Sessions are by appointment only. To schedule your session, please contact SURS at 1.800.275.7877. Distinguished Service Award nominations due April 10
Nominations for the 2015 Distinguished Service Award are due Friday, April 10. This award is given to LLCC employees who demonstrate exemplary leadership, promotes a learner-centered environment and promotes service to the college community. Service is a matter of the job. This award recognizes those who provide service beyond the minimum. Leadership can be provided in a subtle way. Nominations should clearly describe what qualities exhibited by the nominee through his/her performance, attitude, behavior and action puts them in the elite class of “Distinguished Service Award Recipient.” Please refer to the attached nomination form below for the nominating process.
Walk Your Way to Wellness Challenge deadline is Friday
Get your teams together now for the annual Walk Your Way to Wellness Challenge! Deadline is this Friday, April 3.
This is a department challenge. Teams must consist of five members employed in the same department. Any department with less than five people may work with another department to form a five person team. Each team member will log the total number of miles walked using an online tracking tool. Instructions on how to use the online tool will be emailed to participants prior to the start of the challenge. Only miles walked count toward the total. Runners will be placed in a separate individual challenge. Prizes, including membership to the LLCC Fitness Center and Scheels’ gift certificates, are given to the top three teams, the individual top walker and the individual top runner.
