ITDE workshop today: Using Blackboard Statistics to Promote Student Success
The ITDE workshop, Using Blackboard Statistics to Promote Student Success, is being held from 2-3 p.m. today in SGMN 0119. Facilitator is Andy Mitkos, learning management systems coordinator.
What can Blackboard tell you about your students? Using the built-in statistics tools and Retention Center, Blackboard can tell you a great deal about how your students are using your course materials and allow you to have hands-on input into your student’s success. During this workshop we will go through all of the different areas of Blackboard that collect data on your students, as well as talk about what you can do with that data once you have it.

Innovation Celebration proposal deadline Feb. 27
This Friday is the deadline for exhibit proposals for the Innovation Celebration that will be held from 1–3 p.m. on Professional Development Day in A. Lincoln Commons.

Are you a new Blackboard user or an occasional Blackboard user in need of a refresher? Come to this session for an introduction to using the Blackboard course management system at LLCC. This session will cover the basics of getting started using Blackboard to supplement instruction, such as logging in to the system, general navigation, tools, course development areas and the grade center.

Blackboard unavailable beginning Monday, Dec. 22 at 11 p.m.
The Blackboard system will be powered down Monday, Dec. 22 at 11 p.m. in preparation for the planned electrical outage in Menard Hall on Dec. 23. We hope to have the system back online by the afternoon of the 23rd, but it will all depend on the timeframe and successful completion of the electrical work being done.
