He can be seen daily entertaining Fox studio audiences for the “Mike Huckabee Show,” “Fox & Friends,” M & J Morning show, “Center Stage” on the Yes Network and is currently working on the Seth Myers show.

The LLCC Agriculture Club is holding a Farmer’s Share Luncheon on Today, March 28 from 11:30am to 1:00pm in the Student Union. The purpose of the meal is to educate students, staff, and faculty about modern agriculture and dispel any myths about the agricultural field. The cost of a ticket is $.50, which represents the amount an average farmer receives out of the $6.00 a person would spend on eating that meal at a restaurant or other establishment. The remainder of the meal cost is being paid by the area agribusinesses that are sponsoring the event. Some tickets are still available, so faculty and staff are welcome to come and pay at the event while supplied last. Door prizes will be awarded, and Ag Club raffle tickets will be on sale as well.
The Epicurean Club is selling frozen lasagna, meat or meatless varieties, for $8 each. Fill out this formand take it and payment to Student Life by March 20. Pick up is April 1, 11-2, in A. Lincoln Commons.
The Culinary Arts Program and Culinary Institute will be at the Illinois Products Expo this Sunday, March 2 in the Orr Building of the Illinois State Fair Grounds. Lincoln Land Community College Agriculture students participated in competitions at the Illinois Postsecondary Agricultural Student Organization (PAS) fall conference in Peoria recently. The Illinois PAS provides opportunities for individual growth, leadership and career preparation and is one of the 10 career and technical student organizations that has been approved by the U.S. Department of Education as an integral part of career and technical education. LLCC’s “Head Start Ag Safety Program” won a 2013 Innovation Award from the Illinois Council of Community College Administrators (ICCCA). The award was presented yesterday at the ICCCA’s conference in downtown Springfield. Rich Teeter, associate professor of agriculture, described the program as a unique collaboration involving LLCC, a statewide business association and a non-profit organization. Accepting the award on behalf of the college were Dr. Charlotte Warren, president; Teeter, Bill Harmon, professor of agronomy, Dr. Eileen Tepatti, vice president of academic services, and Dave Green, dean of business and technologies.
Last spring, a group of LLCC agriculture students were professionally trained and certified at the Asmark Institute Agri-center in Bloomington in subjects including confined space entry, hazardous materials and various safety procedures. The safety training program was provided to the students, free of charge, by the Illinois Fertilizer and Chemical Association (IFCA) and the Asmark Institute, a private, non-profit organization which assists agriculture retailers in complying with federal regulations.
Teeter said the training will not only enhance the resumes of the students when they pursue jobs in the ag industry, but more importantly, the lessons learned may save lives.
LLCC is hosting the Illinois College Automotive Instructors Association fall conference yesterday and today, with more than 150 automotive instructors from Illinois and surrounding states participating,
along with vendor displays.
Christie Jahn Hovey, professor of business and technologies, has co-authored the new textbook, “Skills for Success with Microsoft® Word 2013 Comprehensive,” with Kris Townsend, for Pearson Education, Inc., publishing as Prentice Hall. Additionally, she authored content for Word 2013 that will be included in Pearson’s online learning platform for technology, MyITLab.
