FAFSA FiestaLLCC Financial Aid would like to thank the LLCC Foundation, PRM, Student Life, Quiznos, Robin Ackman, Shawn Allen, Ximena Arroyo Estrada, Andrew Blaylock, Shanda Byer, Carissa Dubois, Kelly Ellis, Dr. Lesley Frederick, Seth Jacobs, Rashawn Jones, Brandon Lewis, Susan Mendenhall, Sarah Scheufele, Wes Treadwell, Lindsey Weihmeir and Thomas Whalen for helping us with our successful FAFSA Fiesta event on Oct. 1. There were over 60 students who attended the event and worked to complete their 2020-2021 FAFSA.

Student Services open extended hours

LLCC Admission, Records and Registration, Financial Aid, Placement and Testing and Student Success (formerly Advising, Counseling and Career Services) will be open extended hours to assist students with fall enrollment on these dates/times:

  • Monday-Thursday, Aug. 12-15, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Friday, Aug. 16, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Saturday, Aug. 17, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Monday-Thursday, Aug. 19-22, 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Friday, Aug. 23, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Please spread the word to any students who still need to register for fall classes!

Remind students to apply early for FAFSA and about completion events

Welcome to myStudentAid app Federal Student Aid. Need money for college? Submitting the 2019-2020 FAFSA form is quick, and most importantly, it's FREE.Oct. 1, 2018 was the first day to file the 2019-2020 FAFSA. Please remind students it is important to apply early. Some grants are distributed to early filers only.

The 2019-2020 FAFSA is used for summer 2019, fall 2019 and spring 2020 semesters at LLCC. Students will use tax information from 2017 (filed in 2018) to complete the FAFSA.

The 2019-2020 FAFSA is available at FAFSA Application. New this year: The website is now mobile friendly, and there is a FAFSA app available called “myStudentAid” for easy filing on a handheld device.

Financial Aid Self-Service is going live today

LLCC’s Financial Aid Self-Service is going LIVE today, May 1! Financial Aid Self Service is a tool in Colleague that allows for students and staff to have user-friendly access to the student’s financial aid information.

Some of the features include:

  • Checklist of steps in the financial aid process that shows what the student has completed and the steps that still need to be taken
  • List of outstanding documents needed with hyperlinks to those documents
  • Award notification and printable award letter
  • Award letter history
  • Notification and full explanation of a student’s Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) status
  • Federal Shopping Sheet
  • Loan history at LLCC and other institutions
  • Ability to accept loans online and to adjust the requested loan amount
