LLCC Theatre’s “Your Swash Is Unbuckled” opens this weekend

LLCC Theatre presents “Your Swash Is Unbuckled,” a collection of nine short stage combat plays by Jeff Goode, July 18, 19, 25, 26 in Sangamon Hall South on the Springfield campus. The 8 p.m. performances feature pirates, fops and swashbucklers of all descriptions and are filled with sword swinging, witty and amusing repartee.

Admission is a suggested $5 contribution at the door (cash or check only). No advanced reservations are being taken.

Director Mark Hardiman, professor of theatre, describes the production as “ribald and rascally” and framed around the covers of romance novels. “There are lots of over-the-top, ultra-romantic love stories with rivals, rapscallions, pirates and brigands tangled up in every imaginable romance variation.”  Read more…

The Great Coffee Cup Give Away!

Come by the second floor of Menard outside of Arts and Humanities and admire the vast collection of coffee cups David Laubersheimer has acquired over the years.  Once you see them, you will instantly fall in love and you must take one with you.  If you know of a friend who would love a mug, please take one and present it as a gift!  Alas this is a limited time offer and only while supplies last!
