Our sympathy to family and friends of Ed Fitzgibbon, founding faculty member of LLCC, who passed away Oct. 10. He taught geography and math for 27 years at the college. A visitation was held Tuesday, Oct. 15 at West Side Christian Church in Springfield. A visitation will also be held on Wednesday, Oct. 16 from 10:30-11:15 a.m. at the Federated Church in Avon, followed by a funeral service with burial at Avon Cemetery. Read the obituary.

Our sympathy to family and friends of Dan Judd, former facilities maintenance technician, who passed away Oct. 8. He was at LLCC for 20 years. A memorial gathering will be held Thursday, Oct. 17, 4-7 p.m. at Butler Funeral Home in Springfield. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Read the obituary.

All are invited to the opening reception for LLCC’s “On My Own Time” today, Oct. 3, from 4-6 p.m. at the Philip and Mary Kathryn Trutter Museum. This exhibit features 29 pieces of artwork from LLCC faculty and staff. Refreshments will be served.
Don’t forget to vote for the LLCC’s People’s Choice Award! The artist of the favorite piece at LLCC will receive a $50 Visa gift card courtesy of the Philip and Mary Kathryn Trutter Museum.
The LLCC OMOT exhibit will be open Oct. 1-31.

Jessica Maddox from Rochester has recently joined LLCC as accounts receivable collections technician. She previously work for Springfield Electric Supply for 11 years in the accounts receivable department and as an energy efficiency support specialist. LLCC welcomes new vice president of administrative services
Please join us in welcoming Bryan Gleckler, who has joined the administration of Lincoln Land Community College as vice president of administrative services! He began his new duties Oct. 1.
Gleckler comes to LLCC from Lake Land College where he served as vice president for business services. Prior to that, he was director of finance and operations for The Moss Group, a consulting firm in Washington, D.C. Gleckler also spent 17 years working at the Illinois Department of Corrections, becoming chief financial officer and then chief of staff for the agency.
He earned a master’s degree in public administration from University of Illinois Springfield and a bachelor’s degree from University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign.
