We send Gaye Catlin best wishes in her recovery

Gaye CatlinGaye Catlin, administrative assistant to the dean of health professions, was seriously injured in a fall at her home on Dec. 5, 2019. She has been treated for traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries in the Intensive Care Unit of HSHS St. John’s Hospital since the accident. In the coming weeks, she will be transferred to a rehabilitation facility in Chicago. At her family’s request, no outside visitors are allowed to visit Gaye in the ICU. However, a Facebook page, “Caring for the Catlins,” has regular updates on her progress from her daughter, Kalie, and husband, Scott, along with information on an upcoming fundraiser March 7, 4-10 p.m. at the Stonington American Legion. We send Gaye and her family our best wishes in her recovery.

I want to thank say thank you to everyone who sent cards, flowers and planters; gave donations to 5A animal shelter; sent me emails and texts; came to my mother’s visitation; and checked in with me and gave me hugs during my mother’s passing.
