We extend our sympathy to Greg Walbert, graphic design manager, on the passing of his father, Donald William Walbert, on Oct. 25. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, Nov. 4, starting at 10:30 a.m., with remarks from the family starting at noon. Inurnment will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery. Holiday party committee volunteers wanted

The LLCC Holiday Party Committee is recruiting volunteers to help plan and execute the annual LLCC Holiday Party held in December. Our first meeting will be Monday, Sept. 12, 2 p.m. We will meet via Teams for a quick informational meeting for new committee members. Please email Jolene.lamb@llcc.edu if you would like to attend.

Our sympathy to family and friends of James “Jim” Coup, former dean of student services at LLCC, who passed away Sept. 1. He worked at the college from 1968-1997. A visitation will be held Saturday, Sept. 10, 9-10:30 a.m., at Mott and Henning Funeral Home in Athens, and a funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. A graveside service will follow at Joel Hall Cemetery.
