She previously worked in the HR department at Catholic Charities and as a disabilities claim adjudicator for the state of Illinois. Lisa Volk-Draper joined LLCC Oct. 2 as chemical hygiene officer and lab supervisor. She comes to the college after approximately 15 years with SIU School of Medicine as a lab supervisor and researcher in the field of pre-clinical breast cancer. Lisa earned a bachelor’s degree in biotechnology/microbiology from Missouri State University and a master’s degree in molecular biology, microbiology and biochemistry from Southern Illinois University Carbondale.

Rebekah HousmanRebekah began Sept. 18 as LLCC’s nursing retention coordinator. She previously worked at Jacksonville Memorial Hospital (formerly known as Passavant Area Hospital). She earned an associate degree in nursing from Lewis and Clark Community College, a bachelor’s degree from MacMurray, and has certifications in med surg, cardiovascular and progressive care. She is also very active in the Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses.
