Coat drive for LLCC students starts today

This past winter our LLCC community noticed many students wearing light coats that did not provide the best protection for the intense cold we experienced. That is why the LLCC Student Government Association, TRIO and the Student Success team are working together to make sure any LLCC student who needs a warm winter coat will have one next winter.

Take a minute to watch SGA explain a bit more about how you can help make a difference! (Please note that the video plays best when using Chrome or Firefox as your browser.)

As you are doing your spring cleaning this year, if you find a gently used adult or child winter coat(s) you no longer are going to use, please donate it to our coat drive. Any size coat will be appreciated because, as you may know, many our students have little ones at home that also need a warm coat next winter. We welcome all new or gently used coats and ask that, if possible, you wash and dry donations on high heat before bringing them to campus.

Drop off locations can be found in LLCC Student Life, outside the TRIO area and in the Workforce Careers Center. The coat drive starts now and ends on Tuesday, April 23. The coat giveaway event will be held during the fall semester in November. Thank you for helping to make next winter a more enjoyable experience for many of our students.
