Wellbeing assessment and flu shot clinic Oct. 8 and 23

LLCC will be offering two opportunities to participate in an onsite wellbeing assessment and flu shot clinic on Tuesday, Oct. 8 and Wednesday, Oct. 23 from 7-11:30 a.m. in the Trutter Center. This event is open to all LLCC benefit-eligible employees and their spouses. For those employees and their spouses who are enrolled in a LLCC health insurance plan, the wellness screening (and flu shot for those participating in the screening) is free! All benefit-eligible employees who participate in the wellness screening will receive a $50 Visa gift card – just for participating!

To register for the onsite wellness screening and/or flu shot, open the screening guide emailed on Sept. 13 for login/registration instructions. Please note that there is a separate registration for the wellness screening and the flu shot. If you would like to do both, please be sure to register for both. When registering for a flu shot, you may be asked to enter a job code. If that should happen, please log out of the website, shut down your browser and then go back in. You should no longer see a request for a job code and can begin the registration process for the flu shot.

Not available on Oct. 8 or Oct. 23? Select “Physician Screening” when registering for the wellbeing assessment, and follow the instructions for having your physician conduct the screening instead. If you have your physician conduct the screening and fax the results to CHCWellbeing by Oct. 31, benefit-eligible employees will also receive the $50 Visa gift card incentive for participating remotely!

Update to Leave Time Report

When you review your Leave Time Report in Etrieve, you will now see in the comment section the word PROCESSED along with the date the Certificate of Absence (CoA) was processed and its unique record ID.

This change has occurred thanks to the hard work of the IT development staff.  They built an automated process in Colleague that allows us to review CoAs and post them to employee’s records in batches. Employee Leave Time Balances will be more timely since there is less manual work required in order to process CoAs.  Supervisors should note that they are still expected to review CoAs for accuracy (in dates, leave types and hours) and verify that leave time balances can cover the absence. Student training notifications

Two types of online training notifications have recently been sent to students:

  1. At the beginning of this semester, all enrolled students received an invitation from our online training provider giving them the opportunity to participate in two online trainings: AlcoholEdu and Sexual Assault Prevention for Community Colleges. These student trainings are NOT mandatory, but are highly encouraged for all students.
  2. Students who are employed at the college may also receive an invitation for online trainings, which are mandatory based on their employment status.

The student and employee trainings appear on the same platform, but only HR-issued trainings are mandatory. Please note that all training invitation emails will indicate whether the training is mandatory or optional. Questions about the optional online trainings or requests for more information can be directed to Shelby Bedford at shelby.bedford@llcc.edu.

Updated HR page on the Employee Portal

HR has revamped its Employee Portal page on SharePoint! It is a comprehensive and complete source of information and forms for employees. Important news and links to key documents and websites are available on this page. The left navigation bar has links to dedicated pages for all HR-related functions such as benefits, hiring, educational assistance, supervisor resources, etc. This page will be kept up-to-date so you can be assured you’ll always be looking at current forms, resources, processes, etc. Please take a moment to check it out and become familiar with all that is available to you.

Fidelity Retirement Planner on campus for SURS SMP participants Aug. 27

Nicholas Camarella, Fidelity retirement planner, will be on campus Tuesday, Aug. 27 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the HR Conference Room (Menard 1220). He will be on site for 45-minute one-on-one appointments to discuss the SURS Self-Managed Plan with SMP participants. Appointments are required for one-on-one consultations. Schedule an appointment (in the Next Steps section at the bottom of the page under Meet, select Fidelity and choose your location).

Consultations with a Fidelity representative are provided at no additional cost to SURS SMP participants as a member benefit. Camarella will help participants address questions such as:

  • What are my investment options?
  • What is a target date fund?
  • How do I log in to my SMP account?
  • How do I find my SMP account balance?

Make an appointment with SURS counselors on campus Aug. 28.

Only two spots are left! SURS counselors will be on campus this fall to conduct one-on-one counseling appointments with employees who are within four years of retirement eligibility and have not met with SURS in the past 12 months. Please refer to the attachment for instructions on how to enroll for a one-on-one appointment. Please remember appointments are on a first come, first serve basis and only two spots are left!
