Welcome Carson Becker and Christopher Cook!

Carson BeckerCarson Becker, originally from Taylorville, has recently joined LLCC as police officer. Before joining the LLCCPD, he worked with McLean County and Divernon. Carson began his college studies at LLCC, earned a bachelor’s degree in biological anthropology from Illinois State University and graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Police Training Institute. Christopher CookChristopher Cook is a programmer analyst for the college. He previously worked for the state of Illinois as a cybersecurity analyst, data analyst and statistician and served in the Navy as a sonar technician on submarines. Christopher earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematical sciences with a minor in history, a master’s degree in European and world history, and a second master’s degree in software engineering and data analytics from University of Illinois Springfield. LLCC welcomes new vice president of administrative services

Bryan GlecklerPlease join us in welcoming Bryan Gleckler, who has joined the administration of Lincoln Land Community College as vice president of administrative services! He began his new duties Oct. 1.

Gleckler comes to LLCC from Lake Land College where he served as vice president for business services. Prior to that, he was director of finance and operations for The Moss Group, a consulting firm in Washington, D.C. Gleckler also spent 17 years working at the Illinois Department of Corrections, becoming chief financial officer and then chief of staff for the agency.

He earned a master’s degree in public administration from University of Illinois Springfield and a bachelor’s degree from University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign.

Carl HoodCarl Hood joined LLCC as building custodian on Monday, Aug. 26. Originally from Chicago, he has lived in the Springfield area now for 12 years. Dr. Teresa Liberati

Teresa Liberati, D.V.M., Ph.D., has been an adjunct instructor at LLCC since 2015 and is now an assistant professor, biology/anatomy and physiology. Matt SchownirMatt Schownir, Ph.D., is LLCC’s new assistant professor of history. Originally from Indiana, he earned his master’s and doctorate’s degrees in history from Purdue University. Bailey Shaw, Ph.D., is a new assistant professor of English at LLCC. She is originally from Decatur, Illinois, and earned a bachelor’s degree from Bradley University and a master’s degree from Loyola Chicago.
