Thank you from Student Life

A big thank you to all of those who helped make the Student Life Office’s 5th Annual Volunteer Fair a great success, particularly to those faculty members who brought their classes by and encouraged them to network with the not-for-profit representatives. We had 112 students fill out pledge cards and promise to complete approximately 2,315 hours of community service!

Congratulations, Barb Bernardi!

Report from LLCC’s November 2013 Quality Checkup or Site Visit

LLCC’s Quality Checkup Report is now available on LLCC’s AQIP page. The Quality Checkup Report is a Higher Learning Commission (HLC) document prepared by the review team after completing a site visit. Its purpose is to document the team’s findings and communicate those findings to the HLC as well as the institution under review. The report references conversations held with various groups during its visit, reports on the accuracy of LLCC’s Systems Portfolio, comments on the how well LLCC demonstrated meeting the Criteria for Accreditation, and provides feedback regarding federal compliance expectations. Please address any questions on the report to Chris McDonald or Tricia Kujawa, the college’s AQIP co-chairs, through AskAQIP@llcc.edu .

A heartfelt thank-you note from Cheryl Vertrees

Thanks to my Lincoln Land colleagues for your expressions of kindness (cards, emails, food, flowers, memorials) following the recent passing of my dad.  Your thoughtfulness has been heartwarming.  A special thank you to my little work family who also provided comfort and support during December, when we were expecting any day to lose my 18-year-old niece following a four-year battle with cancer.  To lose Dad just three weeks after Cora passed away has been especially tough, and my work family has been there for me.  The many kind acts are greatly appreciated.   —   Cheryl Vertrees
