Join us for a three-part faculty book club series centered on “Inclusive Teaching: Strategies for Promoting Equity in the College Classroom,” by Kelly A. Hogan and Viji Sathy. This insightful book provides practical strategies to create more inclusive and equitable learning environments. We’ll delve into the key concepts and discuss how to implement these ideas in our own classrooms, with emphasis on intentional course design and inclusive classroom interactions. Other possible topics of discussion include strategies for engaging diverse learners, fostering inclusive group work and providing effective feedback. By addressing issues of privilege and implicit bias, we can create equitable learning environments where all students feel valued and supported.
The first 15 people to register will receive their copy of the book before the school closes for winter break. Anyone who registers after that will receive their free copy in January.
