You’re invited to a discussion on mental health this Wednesday

National Alliance on Mental Illness presents In Our Own Voice. Join us in the first ever opportunity to listen to a personal perspective on what it's like to be a leader living with a mental health condition. March 6, 1-2 p.m. in the Trutter Center. For more information contact Kellee Phillips, student care coordinator. 217-786-2409.Join us on March 6 as the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) presents, “In Our Own Voice.” This presentation is designed to change attitudes, assumptions and ideas about people with mental health conditions.

This 60-minute presentation provides:

  • An opportunity to hear open and honest perspectives on a highly misunderstood topic.
  • A chance to ask leaders questions, allowing for a deeper understanding of mental health conditions and dispelling of stereotypes and misconceptions.
  • The understanding that people with mental health conditions have lives enriched by hopes, dreams and goals.
  • Information on how to learn more about mental health and get involved with the mental health community.
