“Art After Hours” Citywide Awards Reception is tonight

Photos of the first place artwork: “Bale Yeah Cowgirl” photograph of a young girl doing a backbend on a bale of hay; “Rain, Rain, Go Away” photograph at night of the rain with a shadow of a person in the foreground; Mixed media artwork named “Summer’s Glory,” with flowers, child, bird nest and a bird made with ink, watercolor, paper; “Hear the Bells Ringing” artwork which is an image of a carillon behind trees made out of a variety of paper; “Flower Fantasy II” B/W drawing of a variety of flowers and leaves.The Art After Hours (AAH) citywide awards reception is being  held tonight, 5:30-7:30 p.m., at the Springfield Art Association (SAA) Nelson Gallery, 700 North Fourth Street. All are welcome to attend.

The AAH citywide exhibit will display all first-place artwork from the businesses and agencies that participated in the 2023 AAH. The exhibit will run thru Dec. 20.

AAH is a program of the Springfield Area Arts Council offering individuals the opportunity to display original art created outside the office.
