Faculty members are required to participate in commencement ceremonies as this marks a milestone in the lives of our students, their families and our community.  As a reminder, If you are going to be unable to attend the commencement ceremonies, please send an email to Dr. Warren requesting permission to be excused from commencement no later than May 8, 2023.

The procession for commencement will be led by platform personnel which consists of the president, Board of Trustees and executive staff, followed by the faculty and administrators, followed by the graduating students. Two faculty marshals will lead professors emeriti, full-time faculty and administrators into the hall.

The line of march will be posted in LincIn on Thursday, May 11, and there will be copies posted at the Bank of Springfield Center at the faculty/administrator line-up location.

Commencement will be held at the Bank of Springfield Center located at 1 Convention Center Plaza on Friday, May 12, beginning at 7:30 pm. Faculty, administrators and graduates should be assembled no later than 7 p.m.

Please allow plenty of time for parking and walking to the BOS. The Springfield 2023 Fat Ass 5K is also scheduled for that weekend, and there will be some street closures in preparation for the race.
