Library sponsoring Edible Book Fest April 25

Graphic of an open book with fork and knife and sunburstDo you love food? Do you love books? If you answered yes, then LLCC Library has the event for you. We are looking for participants to create Edible Books for the library’s annual Edible Book Festival held on Tuesday, April 25 in celebration of National Library Week. Your creation could be inspired by a scene/character from a book, a pun on a book title, look like a book cover or wherever your imagination takes you.

All skill levels are encouraged to participate, and your creations can be made from store-bought foods or homemade ingredients. The only rule is that the edible “book” is completely edible—put the super glue down! You can participate individually or perhaps you and your family/colleague/department want to join in on the fun.

Participation prizes will be given to each participant and People’s Choice Prizes will be given to the two with the most votes.

The concept of an edible “book” can be confusing, so please seek out Leslie Ross, faculty librarian, (leslie.ross@llcc.edu) with any questions.
