State Journal-Register Collection

Explore Springfield’s history and current events through local news, events and people with the State Journal-Register Collection, now available from NewsBank. Search current and archived issues with full-color newspaper pages, full-text articles and content only published online.

Black Life in America

This fully searchable, digital collection provides online access to more than 19,000 global media outlets, including the largest and richest collection of African-American newspapers.  It includes more than 800 curated searches, organized by historical eras, themes, topical areas and events.

Hispanic Life in America

This collection is designed to foster discussions and research related to Hispanic heritage, history, culture and daily life.
