The LLCC Board of Trustees has approved the 2022-2026 strategic plan for the college. Throughout its various components one central theme resonates — the importance of serving our students and our community.

The mission statement represents a concise explanation of the college’s reason for existence — its purpose and overall intention, while the vision statement creates a  mental image of the ideal state LLCC hopes to achieve as it looks forward. The  strategic goals highlighted in this plan are broad, primary outcomes that focus on  teaching and learning, valuing people, building institutional awareness, supporting  students and operating effectively.

Within these goals are measurable steps that must be taken to achieve those goals; these are referred to as objectives. The plan also includes how each objective will be measured (metrics) and performance targets for each objective. Some objectives may list TBD (to be determined) for the performance targets or metrics. These can be developed as the strategic plan is implemented.

Additionally, the plan includes insights into what department(s) may have primary oversight of each objective or do work that connects to the objective or its measurement. These are not the only departments that should be working toward an objective, but they are the departments that may be key in developing tactics for accomplishing the objectives.
