The LLCC Board of Trustees elected new officers at its April meeting on Wednesday.
Ken Elmore of Waggoner, president of First National Bank of Litchfield, was elected chair after serving two years as vice chair.
Gordon Gates of Springfield, partner at Gates, Wise, Schlosser and Goebel, was elected vice-chair, after serving two years as board secretary.
Craig Findley of Jacksonville, chair of the Illinois Prisoner Review Board and former LLCC board chair, was elected secretary of the board.
Elmore presented a plaque of recognition to Wayne Rosenthal of Morrisonville for his two years as board chair, thanking him for his outstanding leadership, especially during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic. Rosenthal, a former member of the Illinois House of Representatives and former director of the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, remains on the board as a trustee.
Prior to turning the gavel over to Elmore, Rosenthal read a resolution in honor of Julian Marvel of Waggoner, who completed his term as the 2020-2021 student trustee. He is graduating from LLCC with an associate in arts degree and plans to pursue a degree in anthropology at Illinois State University.
Other trustees continuing their terms on the LLCC board are Dr. Vicki Davis of Riverton, operational excellence manager, State of Illinois; Jeff Fulgenzi of Sherman, owner, Fulgenzi Consulting; and Samantha Raymond of Springfield, programs communications associate, Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education.
