LLCC is partnering with SHIELD Illinois to provide saliva based COVID-19 testing for our LLCC community. These tests are free of charge and are designed to identify positive cases prior to the onset of symptoms (if you are symptomatic, we still do not want you coming onto campus). This testing program will begin today, April 19, and will be conducted on the south side of the Trutter Center. Testing will be conducted on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and individuals will get their test results by the next business day. Please note that individuals should not eat, drink (including water), chew gum, smoke or use tobacco products within 60 minutes of providing a saliva sample. While we are not requiring employees to be tested, if you are on campus it is strongly encouraged that you be tested once a week. This is just an additional measure to help ensure the health and safety of our campus community.
