In recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, LLCC staff and faculty are encouraged to contribute to a virtual pledge wall. Pledges should be submitted using this pledge form. Information and inspiration for pledges is available through this link as well. All pledges from students, staff and faculty will be posted to this wall in demonstration of the collective change that occurs when each of us pledge to do #1Thing to prevent domestic violence and support survivors. All members of the campus community are encouraged to submit a pledge and view the virtual pledge wall.
Support is available for anyone experiencing domestic or dating violence through Sojourn Shelter and Services by calling 217-726-5200. Students wishing to learn more about their rights and support options should use LLCC’s Confidential Advisor phone line to connect with a trained confidential advisor at 217-786-2590. Any individuals with questions or concerns may contact Shelby Bedford at shelby.bedford@llcc.edu or 217-786-4682. Information related to awareness of gender-based and sexual violence, support resources at LLCC, in the community, and national hotlines, and more is available through LLCC’s Sexual Violence Resources webpage.
