After the Illinois Community College Journalism Association’s spring conference at the College of DuPage April 16-17 had to be canceled, advisers moved the conference online.

Tim McKenzie, LLCC professor of journalism, prepared and shipped awards to winning schools. He also helped interview three of the scheduled speakers to provide their advice to student journalists. The videos can be seen as they are released at the association’s Facebook page. McKenzie interviewed Dann Gire, founding director of the Chicago Film Critics Association and president of the group for 22 years, and a combined interview with Neil and Michelle Holdway, who are copy editors at the Daily Herald in Arlington Heights.
