Starting on today, June 3, paving contractors will be working on repairing drives and parking lots on the main campus in Springfield and updating parking lots at our Taylorville location. Work on the main campus will include resurfacing of the main vehicular circulation drive, Cass Gym parking lot, Montgomery parking lot and other miscellaneous curbing, gutter and drainage repair work. In Taylorville, the existing parking lot will get a seal and stripe and additional paving of the gravel lot and work at the entrance drive will be taking place. We anticipate this work will continue through the summer and will be complete in mid-August. Please plan accordingly as Cass and Montgomery parking lots and sections of the main drive may be inaccessible for short periods of time. Contractors will be sure to maintain at least one drive lane open at all times on the main campus and will maintain access to the Taylorville parking lot at all times. Please use caution and follow all construction traffic signs, cones/barrels and directions during this time at both locations.
