I am writing to ask you to consider a gift to the LLCC employee giving program through United Way. This program allows LLCC employees to give to local charities, or any qualified charity, though convenient payroll deduction or a one-time or recurring gift.
100% of your donation goes directly to the charity of your choice, thanks to generous corporate underwriters. 100% of your donation to United Way supports local program services. Click here or see the brochure in the letter sent via campus mail for a list of local agencies supported by United Way of Central Illinois. If you live outside Sangamon or Menard Counties, you may even designate your gift to your local United Way.
New this year: you can make your donation online! Click here or text LLCCUNITED to 41444. You may also continue to use the paper form included with the letter sent via campus mail. Please return paper forms to your group representative listed below.
How do our gifts impact the local community? They support agencies like Compass for Kids, providing after-school and summer academic enrichment services to at-risk children. St. John’s Breadline, Mini O’Beirne Crisis Nursery, Helping Hands of Springfield and Senior Services of Central Illinois are a few of the many other agencies our gifts impact as they work to provide for basic needs, education, financial stability and health of local individuals.
This year’s LLCC employee giving program through United Way will be Oct. 29-Nov. 9. Each donor will receive a sticker for a “jeans day” of their choice, and is placed in a drawing for multiple gift cards to be given away on Professional Development Day Tuesday, Nov. 6. Anyone who fills out their pledge form or makes a gift by that afternoon will be eligible for the gift card drawing.
Thank you for considering a gift to help those in need in our communities.
