Condolences to family and friends of Naomi Jean Fowler, former LLCC administrator, who passed away May 21. Naomi retired in 1995 after 15 years of service at LLCC. She also served as a state director for Elderhostel (Road Scholar)  and founded LLCC’s Academy of Lifelong Learning. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 26, 10-11:45 a.m. at Laurel United Methodist Church in Springfield, and the funeral ceremony will be held at noon. Our condolences also to the family of Urania “Nina” P. Giavaras who passed away May 22. Nina retired from LLCC as the director of the study skills center after 20 years of service. Visitation is being held from 10 a.m. to noon on Thursday, May 24 at St. Anthony Hellenic Orthodox Church, and the funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
