Visit LLCC’s James S. Murray Gallery by May 10 to view artwork in the Annual Student Art Show. Sixty-three art students submitted a total of 144 entries for consideration, representing 10 of LLCC’s studio classes.

Sarah Smelser, MFA, professor of art at Illinois State University and co-founder of Manneken Press, served as juror for the show. She selected 60 art entries out of the 144, as well as the winners in the studio art categories. Smelser’s work has appeared in such collections as the Readers’ Digest Association, the New York Public Library, the Library of Congress, the Jane Vorhees Zimmerli Art Museum at Rutgers University, the Spencer Museum at University of Kansas, Hallmark Corporate Collection and the Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts.
