Phishing is a fraudulent attempt to obtain personal information from you, such as passwords, banking information, etc. Such an attempt is most commonly made by email.
Look but don’t click. When you receive an email with links, hover your mouse over any links embedded in the body of the email. If the link address looks weird, don’t click on it. If you want to test the link, open a new window and type in website address directly rather than clicking on the link from unsolicited emails.
If you suspect the email is a phishing scam, don’t click on any links and forward it to phishing@llcc.edu.
