Dear LLCC Colleagues,

Each of us at LLCC plays a vital role in improving the lives of district residents through education and services. In our roles, we often see students and co-workers facing life challenges and going through rough times. That’s when important community services and agencies kick in to help. So once again, I am asking you to consider a gift to help those in need in our communities.

This year’s LLCC Campaign through United Way will be Oct. 30-Nov. 10. Your gift is distributed to multiple local agencies that provide senior citizens with home delivered meals, shelter for domestic violence victims, mentoring for at-risk youth, and much more. The LLCC Campaign through United Way also allows you to designate your gift to any qualified 501(c)3 agency or agencies throughout our district and beyond.

Many of your colleagues choose monthly payroll deduction as a convenient way to give to this campaign. Your monthly deductions, added to those of others, keep these vital services going in the midst of funding challenges faced by many social service agencies.

We have some new incentives for you this year! All donors receive a “free jeans day” sticker, candy and pen. Also, your name goes in a drawing for multiple gift cards to be given away on Professional Development Day Tuesday, Nov. 7. Anyone who fills out their pledge form or makes a gift by that day at the event will be eligible for the gift card drawing.
