Monday events at LLCC: SAT and astronomy presentations, VALIC rep onsite

SAT presentation – The Office of Placement & Testing is hosting SAT representative, Mark Barrett on Monday, March 20 at 2 p.m. in room 1178 of Menard Hall.  Mr. Barrett will speak about recent changes to the SAT as well as answer any questions.  We encourage administration and faculty to attend; however, anyone interested in learning more about this is welcome.  Seating is limited.

Chemistry Club astronomy presentation – The LLCC Chemistry Club is hosting Dr. John Martin, professor of astronomy at UIS, on Monday, March 20 from 3-4 p.m. in MN2207.  Dr. Martin’s presentation, “Seeking the ‘Missing’ 96% of the Universe,” will cover dark energy and dark matter in the universe. All students, staff, faculty, and community members are invited. Snacks will be provided.
