LLCC hosted approximately 22 minority 8th grade girls and their mothers in the Bistro Verde this past Saturday for the Delta Sigma Theta La Petite Academy Tea.  Representing Lincoln Land were Leslie Johnson, assistant vice president of Student Success and Marie Watson, student engagement coordinator.  LLCC Adjunct Instructor Lesa Schaive provided instruction on tea etiquette.  The tea is a major part of Delta Sigma Theta’s educational and cultural enrichment program for minority girls.

Thank you for your support.  The organization was very appreciative and said they are working with Michael Phelon, coordinator, Open Door Mentorship Program, on a program tentatively scheduled in March for minority high school students focusing on personal finance.
