The Philip and Mary Kathryn Trutter Museum and Art Department at LLCC are hosting a Winter Art Sale Thursday and Friday, Dec. 1 and 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Trutter Center on the college’s Springfield campus. This event is free and open to the public.
A wide variety of original artwork including ceramics, fine art and more is reasonably priced and would make great gifts for the upcoming holiday season. All artwork has been created by LLCC students during the fall semester. Purchases can be made with cash, check or credit cards.
The public is also invited to attend the art sale preview party Wednesday, Nov. 30 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Trutter Center. The event is $10 per person and offers an exclusive first opportunity to browse and buy art. Gourmet hors d’oeuvres will be prepared by LLCC culinary students and a cash bar will also be available. Entertainment will feature local jazz musician and retired LLCC business faculty, Virgil Rhodes, and his band Footprints.
Advance reservations for the preview party are appreciated by calling 217.786.2785 and may be paid by credit card. Admission at the door is cash or check only. All proceeds from the art sale will support LLCC art students and the Philip and Mary Kathryn Trutter Museum.
