Commencement 2022 is scheduled for Friday, May 13 at 7:30 p.m. at the Bank of Springfield Center. This will be our first in-person ceremony since 2019. In light of ongoing concerns about COVID, we are changing a number of aspects about the ceremony this year. The biggest change is related to attendance. We will be limiting guests to four (4) per participating graduate. Guests will have assigned seats spread throughout BoS to ensure social distancing. To ensure that graduates can share the moment with extended family and friends, we will be live streaming the event. Because seating will be limited to guests of participating graduates, we will be unable to accommodate LLCC personnel in guest seating UNLESS we have unclaimed tickets. We will still have faculty/administrators who will be part of the ceremony and will be seated on the floor with the graduates. We will begin the ticketing process in late April for graduates. Once we know if there are any unclaimed tickets, we will offer those up to staff who would like to attend. Staff can also volunteer to assist at the ceremony. If you would like to volunteer, you can reach out to Gailyn Draper for more information. If you know of any student who is planning to graduate in spring, please encourage them to file the graduation application and indicate they are planning to participate in commencement. If students have any questions about whether or not they are close to graduation, they should meet with their assigned student success coach.
