Honors Club hosts Senior Citizen’s Prom
The LLCC Honors Program, advised by Dr. Claire Gordon, hosted a St. Patrick’s Day themed senior citizen’s prom last Friday evening. The prom was held at the Villas of Holly Brook in Chatham. Residents enjoyed eating cake, dancing to 40s and 50s music, and getting their photos taken in front of a rainbow backdrop. Residents also voted for a prom king and queen. The winners, a married couple, live together at the Villas. They celebrated with a king and queen dance. The queen even informed students that she was from southern Illinois and he was from Chicago, so she had been trying to teach him how to dance for years!
