Grade changes due May 8 for fall 2014 “Incomplete” grades

Grade changes for an “Incomplete” assigned during the fall semester are due in the Admission, Records and Registration office by Friday, May 8. If no grade change is submitted by this deadline, the student’s grade will roll to the grade specified on the original “Incomplete” form or an “F” (if grade area was left blank). Academic calendar workgroup requests feedback by April 8

The Academic Calendar Workgroup, a division of the Academic and Admissions Standards Team, is requesting feedback on the attached academic calendars (see below). These calendars represent the following academic years: 2016-2017, 2017-2018, 2018-2019, 2019-2020, and 2020-2021. The workgroup would like your feedback by the end of the day on Wednesday, April 8. Your responses can be sent to any of the workgroup members listed below. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Note to faculty and administrators regarding commencement

LLCC’s Commencement Ceremony is being held Friday, May 15. Have you completed a higher degree in the past year? Did your gown or tam not fit right last year? Do you have a conflict with the date and cannot join us? If any of these apply, please contact Susan Mendenhall, susan.mendenhall@llcc.edu, 786-2424 or Shawn Allen, shawn.allen@llcc.edu, 786-2575 by Feb. 13 to update your regalia order.

Commencement Reminders

Please remind students that they need to apply for graduation (it’s not automatic) … and if they also would like to walk in commencement, regalia may be purchased from the Bookstore.  The only cost for commencement is $20, which includes cap/gown/tassel and 10 complimentary announcements. Please encourage students to celebrate their achievements!

Nominations for 2014 commencement student speaker are due TODAY by 5 p.m.! If you would like to nominate a student, click HERE for instructions and an application to fill out and return to Room 1255 in Menard Hall. Nominees must have completed graduation requirements at the end of summer term 2013, fall semester 2013 or be candidates for graduation at the end of spring semester 2014 or summer term 2014.  All nominated students need to have their speech ready to audition on Friday, April 4 from 2-3 p.m. in Menard Hall, room 2219.

Nominate an Outstanding Graduate for 2014 Commencement!  If you would like to nominate a graduate, a listing of students who have applied for graduation are attached below. Click HERE for instructions and an application to fill out and return to Room 1255 in Menard Hall by noon on Friday, March 28.  Nominees must have completed graduation requirements at the end of summer term 2013, fall semester 2013 or be candidates for graduation at the end of spring semester 2014 or summer term 2014.  Thank you!
