The LLCC Writing Center is looking for faculty who would like an embedded writing tutor for classes in the fall. If you would like to see your students’ writing improve in your courses, please consider working with the Writing Center staff in our embedded tutoring program! Janet Miller, retired Writing Center specialist and adjunct English instructor, passed away April 5. She worked in the Writing Center from 1998-2013. Her coworkers and English faculty who had the chance to know her can attest to her devotion to LLCC’s values, especially when it came to one-on-one instruction in the Writing Center.

The LLCC Writing Center staff would like to congratulate the winning essays from the Paul Simon Essay Contest.

The theme of the essay is “How My Community College Changed My Life.” The top three essays will receive prizes from LLCC, and the winning essay will be sent to the statewide contest for a chance to win $500.
