Passing of retiree Janet Miller
Janet Miller, retired Writing Center specialist and adjunct English instructor, passed away April 5. She worked in the Writing Center from 1998-2013. Her coworkers and English faculty who had the chance to know her can attest to her devotion to LLCC’s values, especially when it came to one-on-one instruction in the Writing Center.

Paul Simon Essay Contest submissions due tomorrow
As a reminder, the deadline for students to make Paul Simon Essay Contest submissions is Friday, March 24, by 3 p.m. to the LLCC Writing Center email. The theme of the essay is “How My Community College Changed My Life.” The top three essays will receive prizes from LLCC, and the winning essay will be sent to the statewide contest for a chance to win $500.
