The Career Connections Expo, co-sponsored by LLCC, will be held Feb. 6 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Recreation and Athletic Center (TRAC) at UIS. Students seeking jobs or internships can network with over 100 employers. Participants are encouraged to bring copies of their resume, dress professionally (business casual) and prepare a 30-60 second “elevator pitch” to market goals, education and job qualifications.

A Coffee and Conversation networking session, featuring Dr. Carmen Allen, professor of computer science, and Cathy Huffman, director, cooperative work experience, will be held from 10-11 a.m. in the Hospitality Area within TRAC.

Make a donation for the purchase of JCPenney gift cards that will be awarded to students the week of Oct. 21, in time to use at the event on Oct. 25.

• Tie this event into other career readiness curriculum you teach, such as interviewing skills
