Did you guess that Noseman is Nick Ferreira? Nick is an alum who graduated from LLCC in 1993. He started working at the college in 2005 as an adjunct. After a few years, he was promoted to program coordinator part-time for emergency services and health, and then later moved to a full-time position. Currently Nick serves as program director.

Ada RangeIf you guessed Adrienne Range, assistant professor of anatomy and physiology for the department of natural and agricultural sciences, then you are correct! Ada started teaching high school biology, including anatomy, in 2005. She began as a dual credit anatomy instructor for LLCC in 2013 and was asked to adjunct night courses while still teaching full-time for the high school. Ada was hired full-time at LLCC in 2015.  Since then, she has taught courses at the main campus, Litchfield and Jacksonville, including teaching most summers.

New Justice LEAGUE makes its debut

SuperfriendsOn Tuesday, March 30, the Justice LEAGUE will be making its debut at noon on a Zoom meeting near you. LEAGUE which stands for Leaders Establishing Gifts Underwriting Education is the annual faculty and staff giving campaign. The Justice LEAGUE Committee consists of superfriends who provide services to our students full time while working incognito to plan the details of the LEAGUE Campaign.

Faculty and staff make these grants possible through their generous giving to the annual faculty and staff campaign each spring known as LEAGUE. LEAGUE drawing winners

Congratulations to Cynthia Smock and Kirk Yenerall! Each won $150 in the LEAGUE drawing. LEAGUE, which is an acronym for Leaders Establishing Gifts Underwriting Education, is the college’s annual faculty and staff giving campaign. Those who made a donation to LEAGUE were entered into the drawing. LEAGUE cash prizes were made possible by members of the LLCC Cabinet.

New LLCC scholarships available

Did you know that you can choose where your money goes when you donate to the annual faculty and staff campaign known as LEAGUE which stands for Leaders Establishing Gifts Underwriting Education? You can designate your LEAGUE gift for the Pay It Forward student emergency assistance fund, LEAGUE grants, the greatest needs of the college, the general scholarship fund or for one of these newly established scholarships:

  • Stand Together Scholarship (black students with financial need, any major)
  • Sam Germann Aviation Scholarship (powerplant and aviation mechanics majors)
  • Lorie Anne McDonald Scholarship (education majors),
  • Edwards Family Memorial Scholarship (nursing majors)
  • Kevin Cory Scholarship (past/present members of the Central Illinois Boys & Girls Club, any major)
  • Judith L. and Donald T. Anderson Scholarship (agriculture majors).
