Changes to emergency paid sick leave

Effective April 1, 2021, the American Rescue Plan Act provides additional qualifying reasons for use of emergency paid sick leave. You may now use emergency paid sick leave when getting a COVID-19 vaccine, as well as for recovering from side effects or complications due to receiving a COVID-19 vaccine. If you have submitted a certificate of absence for use of benefit leave time for one or both of these reasons on or after April 1, please contact HR (hr@llcc.edu) to convert that time to emergency paid sick leave. If you need time off for these reasons moving forward in the future, please submit that request to your supervisor via email and copy hr@llcc.edu rather than submit a certificate of absence.
