LLCC hosting Campus Visit Day Feb. 20

Monday, Feb. 20Prospective students interested in starting or restarting college or training for a new career are invited to visit LLCC for Campus Visit Day on Monday, Feb. 20. The free event will be held at the LLCC Springfield campus and at Outreach Centers in Jacksonville, Litchfield and Taylorville.

Two sessions, 10 a.m.-noon and 5-7 p.m., are scheduled at the LLCC-Springfield campus, 5250 Shepherd Road. Exhibits open at 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Those interested in visiting Outreach Centers in Jacksonville (32 N. Central Park Plaza), Taylorville (800 S. Spresser) and LLCC-Litchfield (1 Lincoln Land Dr.) can schedule visit times.

“Whether you are in high school or wanting to upskill or start a new career, we welcome you to join us for Campus Visit Day. You can explore classes, majors and our personalized services that help students experience college success,” says LLCC President Charlotte Warren, Ph.D.

The event provides information on how to enroll and pay for college. Visitors are invited to view exhibits and speak with LLCC representatives, tour select areas of campus, attend interactive sessions and apply for admission. Refreshments will feature baked goods from LLCC Culinary Arts.

Anniversary gifts

This is a reminder that LLCC has partnered with TerryBerry to provide gifts of gratitude for those employees who celebrate milestone anniversaries (five, 10, 15, etc.). Gifts are given at the time of your service anniversary. An email is sent to the employee from sender@awardchoice.com. This is a legitimate email, so it is safe to follow the directions provided in the email. Employees select a gift of their choosing from a menu of options. Please reach out to HR if you need assistance.

A reminder that January is Cervical Health Month. If you haven’t already, visit the health and wellness section of the HR Employee Portal to watch the short video to learn more about the importance of cervical health. HSA for 2023

If you are enrolled in the High Deductible Health Plan and wish to contribute or change the amount you as the employee are contributing to the Health Savings Account, the attached form will need completed and returned to LLCC Human Resources for processing.  If you wish to have the first deduction taken from your Jan. 15 payroll, the form will need returned no later than Friday, Jan. 6.
