LLCC Academic Innovation & eLearning spring 2021 professional development workshops are being offered in three different formats: online, live via Zoom and on-demand. Workshops cover both teaching topics and instructional technology tools. There are also many opportunities, both live and on-demand, to learn to use the new Canvas learning management system. In addition to the workshop schedule you will also find additional offerings from the Faculty-to-Faculty Support Team, including the new Virtual Faculty Break Room, offered twice a month, and Trivia Night – Pandemic Style.

• Tuesday, April 13, 3-4 p.m. – Migrating Course Content from Blackboard to Canvas
• Wednesday, April 14, 3:30-4:30 p.m. – AIeL Virtual Open Lab
• Thursday, April 15, 2-3 p.m. – Assessing Information Literacy: Creating Assignments to Address Student Needs

This year’s FSI Conference will be held Wednesday, May 19. The event will once again be held virtually through Zoom. More information is available at http://conferences.illinois.edu/fsi/index.html.

FSI: At the Intersection of Teaching, Learning, and Technology is an annual conference that brings educators and instructional-technology professionals together each May. Attendees come from across Illinois and as far away as Canada. The conference will feature LLCC’s very own Laurie Lewis-Fritz, instructor of music, presenting “Ch-Ch-Changes: Innovation, Flipping, Empathy and Community” as well as other presentations, networking, and hands-on training on the use of modern communication and information technologies in education.
